This path is compared to shining light that becomes brighter and brighter until the perfect day. It is a wonderful reminder that walking with God is a journey of continual growth, increasing understanding, and hope. The Path of the Just The verse begins with: “But the path of the just…” The word “but” creates a contrast with the previous verses. Proverbs has been describing the way of wickedness and the destructive nature of evil. Now we are shown the alternative—the path of the just. The path of the just is the way of righteousness, obedience, and faithfulness to God. It does not mean that those who walk this path never make mistakes or face...
