  Stay in God’s light—don’t trade the right path for the darkness of sin Proverbs 2:13 (KJV) says: “Who leave the paths of uprightness , to walk in the ways of darkness .” “Paths of uprightness” → refers to living a good, moral, and righteous life according to God’s wisdom . “ Leave ” → means a deliberate choice to turn away from what is right. “ Ways of darkness ” → represents sin, evil, dishonesty, and a life without God’s truth. Wisdom That Rescues from Evil   Proverbs 2:12 (NIV): "Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse," This verse is part of a longer section in Proverbs 2 where Solomon explains the benefits of seeking wisdom. Here, the focus is on one of the key purposes of godly wisdom : protection . "To deliver thee" – Wisdom acts like a shield, protecting the believer from danger. "The way of the evil man" – This refers to a path or lifestyle that is sinful, deceitful, and against God's ways. "That speaketh froward things" – "Froward" means perverse , twisted , or rebellious .
