This verse reminds us that God's wisdom is not merely information to be learned—it is truth that transforms our lives. When we live according to His Word, we experience spiritual vitality, inner peace, and a character that reflects His grace. The phrase "life unto thy soul" speaks of spiritual renewal and lasting joy. The world often seeks fulfillment in temporary pleasures, but true life is found in a close relationship with God. Holding Firmly to God's Wisdom Throughout the book of Proverbs, wisdom is presented as one of God's greatest gifts to His people. Proverbs 3:18 paints a beautiful picture by comparing wisdom to "a tree of life." This image reminds us of life, nourishment, strength, and continual blessing. In the Garden of Eden, the Tree of Life symbolized life in God's presence. Here, Solomon uses this imagery to show that those who embrace God's wisdom experience a rich and fruitful life. While this does not promise a life free from difficulties, it does promise the joy and strength that come from walking closely with the Lord. The verse begins, "She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her." To lay hold of wisdom means more than simply gaining knowledge. Proverbs 3:12  "For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth." God's Correction Is Rooted in His Love Correction is rarely pleasant, but it is often one of the greatest expressions of genuine love. Proverbs 3:12 reveals a comforting truth about God's character: His correction flows from His love for His children. The verse declares, "For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth." Unlike human discipline, which can sometimes be imperfect, God's correction is always righteous, purposeful, and motivated by love. Walking in Favor Through God's Wisdom Everyone desires favor—whether in our relationships, workplace, ministry, or daily life. Proverbs 3:4 reminds us that true favor is not something we chase; it is something that follows a life rooted in God's truth. This verse comes after Proverbs 3:3, where we are encouraged: "Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart." Psalm 138 is one of the most encouraging Psalms.  It is written by David.  He is a man after God's own heart.   David is praising God for answering his prayers.   This Psalm is filled with some amazing truths. In this Psalm, verse 3 is my favorite one.  Psalm 138:3 - “In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul.” This Psalm is not only encouraging.  It is also inspiring.  It speaks of whole hearted praise for God, worship of His holiness, God's loving kindness and truth, the power of God's word, God's ways, and so much more.   This verse highlights two blessings that came when he cried out to the Lord: 1.  “In the day when I cried out, You answered me” David acknowledges that God heard and responded to his prayer. The answer may not always come in the way or timing we expect, but God listens to the cries of His people.  God is always there for me, I just need to seek Him.  G...
