Proverbs 3:26 – The Lord Is Your Confidence

Finding Confidence in the Lord Alone

In a world filled with uncertainty, many people place their confidence in wealth, education, careers, relationships, or personal abilities. While these things have value, they are temporary and can change without warning. Proverbs 3:26 reminds us that the only unshakable source of confidence is the Lord Himself.

The verse begins with a wonderful promise: "For the LORD shall be thy confidence." Our confidence is not based on our own strength or wisdom but on God's unchanging character. He is faithful, all-powerful, and always present with His children. No matter what challenges we face, we can trust Him completely because His promises never fail.

The second part of the verse says, "And shall keep thy foot from being taken." This paints the picture of God protecting His people from hidden dangers and guiding them safely along life's journey. How Can We Make the Lord Our Confidence?

  • Trust God's promises more than your fears.
  • Spend time in prayer and Scripture every day.
  • Remember God's faithfulness in your past.
  • Seek His guidance before making important decisions.
  • Walk by faith, knowing He is always with you.

True confidence is not found in what we possess or what we can accomplish. It is found in the Lord, who never changes and never fails. He is our protector, our guide, and our faithful companion through every season of life.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for being my confidence and my constant source of strength. When fear and uncertainty try to overwhelm me, help me to trust in Your unfailing promises. Guide my steps, protect me from spiritual danger, and give me the courage to walk by faith. Thank You for Your faithful presence and for holding my life securely in Your hands. May my confidence always be found in You alone.
