Let Your Heart Hold on to God’s Word

Proverbs 4:4 continues Solomon's account of the instruction he received from his father. His father taught him an important principle: God's Word should not merely be heard but treasured and obeyed.

The verse begins, “Let thine heart retain my words.” To retain means to keep, hold onto, or preserve something. This instruction shows us that God's wisdom should become deeply rooted in our hearts.
