The Shield of the Upright   Proverbs 2:7 (KJV) Says: "He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly." 1. "He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous" "He"  refers to  God . "Layeth up"  means  storing or reserving something valuable  for future use. "Sound wisdom"  refers to  true, solid, practical, and moral wisdom —not just knowledge, but wisdom that leads to right living. "For the righteous"  means  those who are morally upright, who seek to live according to God’s ways . Meaning : God keeps and provides deep, trustworthy wisdom specifically for those who live rightly—He doesn’t waste it, but gives it to those who value and live by it. 2.   The Source of True Wisdom Proverbs 2:6 says "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."  (NIV) This verse highlights a key truth in biblical wisdom:  God is the ultimate source of wisdom.  It doesn't come from human effort alone but is  given  by the Lord to those who seek Him sincerely. "The Lord gives wisdom"  — God actively imparts wisdom to those who ask and listen. It’s not something we achieve independently; it's a divine gift.
