This verse again serves as a solemn warning about the consequences of rejecting wisdom. It describes the sudden and overwhelming nature of calamity for those who ignore God's guidance. Fear and Destruction       The verse mentions fear coming like desolation and destruction arriving like a whirlwind. This illustrates how trouble can strike unexpectedly and with great force, just as storms and natural disasters do.
