"The Trap of the Wicked: A Warning Against Violence"

Proverbs 1:12 Says:
"Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit."

This verse is part of a warning against the influence of sinners who entice others into evil. This gives a warning against joining wicked people who plot harm against others. It describes how these evildoers talk about attacking innocent people as if they were devouring them alive, just like the grave (Sheol) consumes the dead.

It symbolizes greedy, violent people who seek to destroy others for personal gain.

2.     It also tells about The Deceptiveness of Sin – Sin can appear attractive but ultimately leads to destruction, just as the grave consumes the living.

3.     It tells about The Consequence of Wickedness – Those who seek to harm others will ultimately bring harm upon themselves (Galatians 6:7 - "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap").
